The Quiet Thing: Teppei Ono Exhibition
What is the universal thing that can compete with the finite nature of our lives?
Our ordinary emotions such as eating, crying, laughing, and getting angry.
Touching. We put our mouth on it. Wrap it in your hand, or use it as a vessel.
The earthenware vessel that asks questions to the root of human beings
It is directly connected to life and reaches straight to it.
It is universal and worthy of trust.
We want to create something that quietly embraces the impulse to live that is stirring within the body, something with an unassuming beauty.
In this exhibition, Teppei Ono’s first solo show at SHOKEN IZU
The main purpose of this exhibition is to let you feel the vessels for living.
We hope you will take this opportunity to view his work.
